This course consists of hands-on instruction in the use of the Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) (also known as Capital Asset Management) module. In the current business climate where companies are seeking to Increase production output & Revenues while at the same time Reducing operating Expense and capital investment, the EAM module offers EnterpriseOne customers an integrated, feature rich solution that is successfully being used by some of the world’s largest companies. The course instructor has first hand experience implementing the module in various industries including Manufacturing, Mining/Construction, Utilities (power generation and water treatment), and City/County Governmental clients.

This class applies to both World and EnterpriseOne customers. We will take time to explain functional differences between each platform, and also all the recent enhancements to EnterpriseOne.

Course Topics:

Equipment Record Management – Learn how to properly configure the Equipment Master record to support maintenance activities, and how these records relate to the Fixed Asset accounting module. Learn how to properly record equipment specifications, operating meter readings, and techniques to simplify equipment searching.

Preventive Maintenance – Learn how to configure the PM module to support scheduled maintenance activities such as inspection loops, scheduled PM Services, and routine/repetitive maintenance tasks. Learn how the Condition Based Maintenance module relates to the PM program, and how to support Predictive Maintenance activities.

Work Order Management – Learn the proper use and setup of the WO Management system to support Preventive, Corrective, Emergency and Safety WO’s, as well as how the WO module interacts with Inventory, Procurement, and Time Entry modules. Receive a through understanding of the WO cost accounting process and how it feeds both the departmental cost analysis and Equipment Cost analysis modules.

Resource Assignments – Learn how the Resource Assignments module supports Trade and Crew based scheduling, and how to properly use this module within a Planner/Scheduler organization.

Failure Analysis – Learn how to setup and utilize the Failure Analysis module to capture and analyze equipment failures. Learn how use of this module, in conjunction with Pareto and engineering analysis will help identify and reduce causes of equipment failure in your organization.

Equipment Cost Analysis – Learn how this new module allows for better analysis and tracking of maintenance costs at the equipment class level, as well as at the hierarchical parent level.
