Course Outline: JD Edwards Orchestrator 201 Training

Main Topics:

  • Logic Extensions: Event rule functionality that exists in traditional E1 development tools, now available in Orchestrator.
  • Data Validation and Error Handling: The error handling functionality in Orchestrations along with the ability to validate incoming data are important capabilities when automating business processes.
  • External Data Base: Reading to/from an external database into/out of E1 using Database Connectors.
  • Processing a File from a Network Drive: Native functionality allows for processing a CSV file from an FTP site. If not using FTP, what do you do? We will utilize groovy scripting in a Custom Request to read a file from a network drive and process the data into E1.
  • Assertions: The ability to define expected results and validate results against them, such as automated system testing.
  • External CRM To E1 REST Integration: Use an external REST service to retrieve data from an external system and import the data into E1. Our example is an integration with Salesforce.
